A unique terroir at the gates of Margaux

The History

  Origins

An atypical place

The wine estate, recreated by the Cazenove family in 1989, is a unique place. A former island of the Garonne, at the gates of the gravelly ridges of Margaux, the property benefits from a unique argilo-siliceous terroir and a temperate microclimate. Classified under the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation, the estate shares the same exceptional soil quality as its prestigious neighbours.

An elegant, concentrated and structured wine, harnessing the forces of Nature.

Louis de Cazenove

Louis de Cazenove has an evolutionary approach to cultivation and winemaking whose ultimate goal is to create an elegant, concentrated and structured wine, by harnessing the forces of Nature: culminating in the 'Family Reserve' cuvée, crafted without added sulfites.
